she glances at evelyn, studying her face for any signs of discomfort or fear. absinthe reaches out a hand, a gesture of comfort and solidarity, before she speaks.[break][break]

"do you think we'll find anything useful here?" she asks, her voice hushed even though there's nobody around to hear them.
